Serenity Pump

I’ve been looking for the perfect color blue pump to wear with the Blue Flapper dress that I picked up from Casa del Shai a few months ago. I’ve also been jonesing for a heel high enough to make Carrie Bradshaw proud. When I read the post from Aphrodite Outlander about the release of her new sculpted Serenity heels…I rushed right over to see if shoe wishes could be granted in pairs.

I’m a sucker for the creased leather effect across the toes as well as the subtle shine of the texture and sole detailing. The heel is just perfect, tapering from the heel of the foot. It’s classic designs like these that become inventory staples because of their quality and versatility, and at $150L per pair they’re practically a steal.

And just think…this was Aphrodite’s first attempt at sculpted shoes. I’ll be eagerly awaiting her future releases.

PXL Skin Crys

Most people realize how much I love MMSkins (almost as much as I love Minnu herself) but those that know me or have followed my fashion writing for the Metaverse Messenger or in the SL blogosphere also know what a skin junky I am. My skin inventory is appalling *hangs her head in shame* but let’s not dwell on my embarrassing addiction. I’d much rather show you a preview of a skin I’m SUPER EXCITED ABOUT!!

Crys Skin from PXL

I was watching a FACES photoshoot yesterday, and the always gorgeous Cherie Parker was wearing a beautiful skin that I’d never seen before (shocking, I KNOW). After begging, pleading, and offers of my first born, Cherie told me the skin was from PXL. Convincing myself that I was just in the way at the photoshoot, the handy dandy Search led me right over to PXL’s.

While I was contemplating eye makeups and fatpack options for the yummy Linda skin that Cherie had been wearing, the very handsome Hart Larsson popped up beside me and asked if I’d tried the demo of a skin in development. Now typically any time some dude starts talking to me in a skin store I pretend I only speak some really rare foreign language in an effort to avoid the usual “offer” of helping me by judging how I look with no clothes on. How very kind of them to be so concerned about the asthetics of my bits right? Turns out though…Hart is the owner and talented creator behind PXL skins.

Soo anywaaaaays…what was I talking about? OH yes! The Crys skin…one thing led to another and I tried a few of the makeups for an entirely new creation Hart was developing and I am in Lust with it. The face is stunning with a perfect nose and juicy lips. The booty is delicious…like CANDY I tell you! And for those who like stripping down and admiring their bits, you will not be disappointed. Call me crazy (I know most of you do anyway) but the immaculate detailed french manicured nails are one of my favorite features. I wish the abdomen was a bit softer, but I consider the suppleness of the Lovey Darling skin to be tummy perfection so it’s a personal preference.

Hart has assured me that he will be rezzing the vendor board on these beauties some time today, so keep your radars on for that. Singles will be priced at $1500L (which actually includes 4 skins of both black and brown eyebrows and the cutest natural freckled version for each). Eye Packs that include all 6 lip colors (Coffee, Ice, Natural, Passion, Raspberry, and Red) in one eye makeup are $6000L or Lip Packs that include all 5 eye designs (Cat, Fashion, Dark, Natural, Smoke) in one lip color are $5000L.

A sneak peek…

Elle Inc. [review]

Noelle Hathaway of Elle Inc. dropped some really cute sweaters with sculpted sleeves on me today. Although simple, the style is clean lined with a slight bell shape at the sleeve and accented with a coordinating color stripe at the low cut neckline and hem. I’d love if it came in more layers but I was only given a jacket layer with the prim sleeves.

Each of these five colors is a very reasonable $75L

This red version is a Holiday “freebie” available in store for $1L

Out of curiosity, I gave Elle Inc. a visit and found very cute ensembles and separates for $125L and under. This sweater dress particularly caught my eye.

This is a snap of the vendor wall but there are red, blue and tan versions as well.

SHINE Fashion Show

I’ll be modeling in the 7PM SLT show tonight. Come join us for a great cause!

Tonight at 7pm slt, and tomorrow at noon slt there will be a fashion show and silent auction benefiting Doctors Without Borders.

If you’d like to learn more about Doctors Without Borders, their website is here: http://www.msf.org/ . But basically, they provide medicine for war-torn and developing areas.

At the show tonight, you’ll see limited one-off editions by your favorite SL designers. After the show, you will be able to bid on the items.
All proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders.

Today’s outfit was inspired by one of Minnu Palen’s new Generation 3 skins named “Earth” with a shimmery sandy eyeshadow and sheer lips. I pulled together some of my favorite earthtone color pieces from my inventory to complete the look.

Sh*t Happens [review]

Ana Boogiewoogie, the designer behind the store who’s name always give me a giggle and a blush (Sh*t Happens), dropped her new Ginny dresses on me tonight.
When I slipped into the black version, my first thought was “oooh, what a sweet simple lil black dress”, but then I zoomed in and realized that the dress wasn’t nearly as simple as I initially thought. The cloth is a a beautiful floral embroidered silk and accented with a gathered sash at an empire waist. Reasonably priced at $125L for each or $250L for all three colors of black, blue, and red.

The dress seemed to beg for silver accents. (ok so maybe I was just looking for a reason to finally wear my Armidi silver pumps and the hair just kind of naturally followed).

Look of the Day

The grid is down, but I had some piccies of today’s outfit. It started with the coat I picked up from Civvies yesterday at the Silent sim opening. I did some modding and unlinking to the large version of the prim coat tails to give myself a copy of the buckled belt to wrap around my waist.

The pants are something I picked up from Muism a couple of weeks ago and forgot about. Can someone PLEASE tie me down and force me to organize my inventory? kthnx

Oh! and I’m officially addicted to the ribbon boots from Shiny Things. I haven’t felt this way about a pair of shoes since I wore my Old Boots for 2 weeks straight last winter. What can I say, Fallingwater Cellardoor makes stuffs that gives me the warm fuzzies.

KUROTSUBAKI

I was wandering around the Fashion Victim shopping sim the other day and stumbled into KUROTSUBAKI.

The first thing that caught my eye was an adorable shiny gray skirt and pants suit. The vendor featured many options of wearing the multiple layer to configure everything from overalls with a sweet folded flap to a pretty side buttoned skirt.

Another option for the pantsuit was just the pants with the softest sweater I’ve seen in all SL. There are tons of turtleneck sweaters that I’m loving this season…from /artiller/, Persona, AnnaH, Armidi, Maiterya…honestly the texturing of the chenille of this one is unreal (in a good way).

So I had to grab the sweaters. Available in two packs. One with black and navy…

And white/gray and purple…

At this point I was completely hooked and scanned the wall, screeching to a halt when I came across the beautiful knitted cardigans. I decided on the brown, detailed in knit and beautiful (did i mention that already?) sculpted sleeves accented with movement creating flexi prims.

A perfect milk chocolate color that was a snap to pull together.
