Mimikri Sequins

Yesterday, Mimikri posted a NEW RELEASE announcement of “JOY”: various trousers, blouses, corsets, cardigans, and skirts. The sequined cardigan and skirts particularly caught my eye so I skipped over to the shop to satisfy my curiosity. What I found was a huge selection of mix and match pieces in a rainbow of colors. Rather than spend an hour over agonizing indecision, I opted to get the skirt and cardigan in all colors.

Cardigan and Skirt:

 These are only a few of my favorites as there are 10 delicious colors in all. Let me tell you…the texturing on these pieces are just so perfect. The highlights to achieve the shiny sequin effect is gorgeous.

Also available for the release is a beautiful beaded corset in coordinating colors. I exercised restraint and only grabbed it in a few different colors.

Corset and Skirt:

I could go on and on about the beautiful detail on these tops, from the rouching to the scalloped lace trim, and satin covered buttons. I just love how elegant and sexy this look is.

There are more pieces in the Joy Collection at Mimikri, that I’m sure I’ll be adding to my inventory, but I really wanted to share how great these pieces are and encourage you to take a look.

Ok…now those of you with raised hands, smack yourself! I kid, but seriously…other than organizing my inventory, adjusting prim lashes is my LEAST favorite thing to do in SL. If you’re observant of my blog or Flickr pics, you’ve probably noticed that I wear the same Flutter lashes from Cake day in and day out. Why do I limit my look when there are so many great lashes out there? Simple. Because they were the only ones I agonized for hours over to get just right.

This post isn’t meant as a rant…I’m actually excited to let you know that you can have perfectly custom fitted lashes without headache or frustration!

Nuclear Boutique offers FREE CUSTOM LASH FITTINGS with all prim lash purchases. Pictured above are the three styles available (including a red tipped version of the “Total Glam” version) and each set was only 75L. I followed the instructions included with my purchase and Arikinui Adria (owner/designer of Nuclear Boutique) responded with a folder of perfectly sized, shaped, and fitted prim lashes within a couple of hours. Pretty darn FABULASH huh?

Keep it Funky SL

I was feeling like wearing something funky and cool (and a complete departure from my usual stilettos and system skirts). While ducking in and out of the great shops at Cherry Buttons, I picked up this awesome denim overall skirt from Untone.

I realized I FINALLY has something to work with the great new Olivia suede wedge boots from SLink. The colorful tights, socks, and accessories just made me smile.
