Maitreya Billow Boots

Just in time for the fall/winter season, Maitreya has just released a new line of boots very aptly named Billow for the ballooned affect created by the cinching of the leg at the upper calf. So many points to make about these boots! Where do I begin?

• The obvious: The texture! I mean OH MAH GAWD! With each new release, the realism in the textures of Maitreya’s shoes is infinitely more amazing. The highlighting creates the look of a soft buttery leather that you want to reach out and stroke.
• The shape: sexy heel in the perfect height, blunt point toe, and true to life sculpted legs
• The DETAILS: I’m such a fan of branding if it’s done discretely. Check out the elastic banding at the upper calf, complete with a small logo tag riveted in place. The tan and pearl versions feature a contrasted piping at the back of the heel. It’s the attention to such small things that make Maitreya’s shoes so believable
• The choices: 7 yummy colors, and 4 size options (small, medium, large, and resizable for everyone in between)

I haven’t raved about Minnu Model Skins in a while.

I was so pleased at the concept of different looks in her latest line, but for some reason the faces from Helsinki to Paris didn’t scream “LOVE IT!” on my shape.

Made in the 80s

Queenie twisted my arm and made me blog…

I’ve been traipsing around the grid the past few days in this very 80’s inspired leotard getup. My 27th birthday was yesterday, meaning I was “made in the 80s”…Flash Dance anyone?

I have no idea how this outfit evolved. It just kind of did. I tend to dance while I’m building or messing with prims so the look was definitely dance inspired.

The leotard is actually from Cachet’s Scarlet Dress. I’m in love with the seaming on the tights, and the slight sheen of the texture, and *blushes* I think my bum looks kinda pretty darn fabulous.

The kushukushu kutsushita socks from Shop Seu and my favorite Chi Chi heels from Maitreya continued the whole dance vibe.

I went for fuss free braids and the cute ear muffs that came with the hair from the CSR Stamp Rally BP gift last year. (I’m not sure either of these items are available in world, but you can cross your fingers and check BP)
