Quick Change
Since the alpha hair/shirt collision issue was making me crazy from my last post, I went shopping at Blueberry (so many cute things!) and picked up the Tableau Vivant buns from kustom9 and did a quick change.
Why am I saw drawn to this powdery pink color?! I’m starting to feel like I’m stuck in a loop of a similar color scheme.

Channeling Fendi
Not much to say other than I was inspired by the Fendi Spring/Summer 2017 campaign and runway show at Milan Fashion Week. Also alpha textured hair + alpha textured top = pain in the butt! Does anyone have a solution to this problem that doesn’t require me editing the alpha masking on the hair?

TETRA
When I first came back to SecondLife last month (after an almost 4 year hiatus!!) the very first hair I purchased was from a new-to-me brand of TETRA at the January Uber event. I loved the style and it had the perfect silky, shiny texture (which any SL blonde knows is hard to come by).
I was on a mission for more hair and visited the TETRA shop. While I couldn’t find any more hair styles at the time, I did load up on a few clothing purchases. Yesterday I put together this fierce combination of an open backed jacket and silk track trousers. The color change heels from Blueberry were also a steal and really vamped up the look.

Memories of Mumbai
I picked up another fantastic outfit at Collabor88, by the very talented Zaara Kohime. I’ve never dressed Cari up in what I think of as traditional Indian style, mainly because Strawberry Singh has cornered that market with her impeccable taste and artistry.
I actually visited India for the first time a few weeks ago and I just fell in love with the people, the food, and the culture. Zaara’s churidar and kurta combos, in their beautiful colors, inspired me to recreate the exotic look of the gorgeous women I shared my week with while in Mumbai. I didn’t want to come home!

Simplicity
I just adore the simplicity of this look. SO many pretty things at Collabor88 this month and this top from Tres Blah was an inspiration.
I love that it works as a tunic or as a dress.

Just Dance
I’ve been so busy snapping pics and uploading them to Flickr that I’m behind on blogging.
I have noticed that a lot of bloggers use Flickr as their complete blogging platform, but I still favor my WordPress site for publishing my thoughts and to supply credits.
I have no idea if anyone even still reads this!
I knew I wanted to create another post with “mirror effect”, and after spending way too much time trying to get angles right to create a mirror image in Photoshop, I discovered that I could accomplish this within SL! With water!
It did feel kind of goofy to turn my building props and pose stand on end but I love the way the pics came out.

I’m still loving my Lelutka Simone Bento head, but I can’t stop tweaking my sliders. I haven’t quite found the combination that captures the “Cari-ness” of my system head. I’ll get there though! Practice makes perfect right?
In the meantime, I picked up some cute things from the Uber event and a really pretty skin applier from Izzie’s.
Still facing that learning curve and reteaching myself SL photography skills. Slowly but surely!

So it’s been close to 5 years since I’ve really blogged, and although real life has dragged me away, I’ve lately felt the gravitational pull of SL again recently. I have to say that Bento mesh clinched the deal.
While it was an admittedly steep learning curve and I had to remember how to fly and zooom and search my inventory again, it’s coming back slowly and I remember the spark and charm that is SecondLife. I’ve been “playing” again!
It took me over three weeks to pull Cari together enough to post anything blog worthy, but with Lelutka and Maitreya, I was “home”.

So I keep putting these outfits together, taking snaps, running them through Photoshop and then posting them on Flickr. I’ve been brushing off the whole blogging step (which is kind of the only reason I even do the whole “put look together, snap pic, photoshop, flickr” routine).
You probably already have purchased this amazing curve hugging, mesh-magic tube dress from *BooM* and if you haven’t…Go NOW! There are so many color options and another dress design without the lace inset. (Yeah, I know how long this has been out, I’m that freakin’ lax in my blogging on Cari!)

Game of Thrones
I’m a HUGE Game of Thrones fangirl. Currently almost finished with the 5th book and I get all bouncy when it’s time to watch the HBO series. When Boot told me that Boystown was hosting a Game of Thrones theme for their Saturday SET event, I knew EXACTLY which characters we would dress as.
