So I keep putting these outfits together, taking snaps, running them through Photoshop and then posting them on Flickr. I’ve been brushing off the whole blogging step (which is kind of the only reason I even do the whole “put look together, snap pic, photoshop, flickr” routine).

You probably already have purchased this amazing curve hugging, mesh-magic tube dress from *BooM* and if you haven’t…Go NOW! There are so many color options and another dress design without the lace inset. (Yeah, I know how long this has been out, I’m that freakin’ lax in my blogging on Cari!)

I’m still wearing this look in world, so at least I can do full credits. Now that the new Maitreya sunhat/hair combo was released, I wished I’d had that when I snapped this pic. I *did* blog the faboo hat/hair over on my alt, Baby Mixemup.

Game of Thrones

I’m a HUGE Game of Thrones fangirl. Currently almost finished with the 5th book and I get all bouncy when it’s time to watch the HBO series. When Boot told me that Boystown was hosting a Game of Thrones theme for their Saturday SET event, I knew EXACTLY which characters we would dress as. Remarkably, my Khaleesi look came together very quickly, but Boot’s Khal Drogo wasn’t fulfilled until quite a bit of hunting.

So I log into my alt tonight, and there is my Boot, chillin’ on a pose stand decked out in crazy Easter bunny glory. Since I just posted my Weekly Color Challenge post on my alt, I decided to log into Cari and doll her up for Easter too!

Roughing It.

Boot and I decided to do a “camping” style post. Mostly because he was wearing a fishing cap and flannel at the time, and I was in some ridiculous glamor gown. I’ve been dressing Cari up for so long, I wasn’t sure if I remembered how to dress her down.

Roasting marshmallows by the campfire. Boot had high expectations of me, setting up a tent furnished with a tres uncomfortable cot to sleep upon. Between you and me though, his expectations weren’t THAT high because this setup was in our backyard within acceptable distance of the requisite SL creature comforts. I let him have his shutterbug camping fantasy fun, then yanked him to my SL  reality of the lazy man’s photography setup. Pose stand, blank background and shadow settings.

Somehow he managed to completely change outfits along the way, whileI found a more current hairstyle and slapped on some lipstick.

Poor guy. At least I entertained him while rapidly shuffling through my pose stand.  I call this shot “MINE! Off limits! Step off bitches…” lulz. Totally kidding. Seriously though, having Boot RL is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. And crazy enough, I have SL to thank for finding him. 🙂

Red Carpet

Continuing my mesh obsession, I saw this dress and it reminded me of Jennifer Lopez. It sat in my inventory for a few weeks and when I finally logged in Cari again, I decided to see how it fit.
(By the way, has anyone noticed that with mesh we have introduced the RL shopping dilemma of trying on clothes for fit in SL) I had to tweak my bewbs a bit but I was very pleased with the dress’s “hot factor” and knew it must be blogged.

Oh Hai! Long time no see!

So I logged into SL and found that Boystown was hosting a “burlesque” event this evening. I thought it was high time to brush Cari off and go shopping…for MESH! and other gorgeous accessories. And I mean honestly, if a Burlesque event doesn’t give you and an excuse to buy a mesh corset…you’re missing OUT!

Amazingly enough, my favorite skin on Cari at the moment is the January group gift from Filthy. FREE!! Of course for the burlesque occasion, I had to add my favorite red lip makeup.

For the past year, I’ve had a very binge/purge relationship with SL. I sign in regularly for about 3 weeks and shop, put looks together, spend time with friends and then…I kind of fall off the radar for a month. This means I’m usually completely behind on the latest releases,  but I guess I’m ok with that.
